Khushism

Its been long since I wrote a proper update on Khushi. I have not even done a proper birthday post for her. So let me see how much I can write in this post.

We celebrated her birthday in October and did a rainbow theme party at home with kids from the apartment. It was mostly Aryan's friends ,their younger siblings and a few mom. Dress code was rainbow colours. The party went well and kids had a blast. Khushi behaved like and angel and was not scared by the crowd. Which I think was a big achievement.

Post her birthday , we started her day care and her grandparents left. She pretty much adjusted in the day care without much fuss. Ofcourse she cries when I say bye to her but she smiles and cuddles with me when I pick her and blows kisses to the day care ladies. So more or less I think she is fine there.

She was naughty and is naughty :) She literally keeps us on our toes. I sincerely think every single day why I made so many drawers in my new house and how to keep the stuff now without using the drawers. She empties her UG drawer , she empties all kitchen pull outs , she has pulled out some crocery and thrown it twice, she has played with sanitary pads , she has painted herself brown with my lipstick , she has torn Aryan's books , she has done drawing on the walls. Ofcourse the fault is mine and not hers :-)

She is messy to the core. She loves playing with her poo and has had a million accidents , to the extent that once it was almost in her mouth , thankfully I noticed just in time.

She is a super fussy eater. If she doesnot want (which is mostly) you can not do anything to make her eat. This worries me all the time cause she is skiny. And no its not a motherly exxageration. I was never ever so worried for Aryan.

She started walking as soon as she completed 13 months. And that means she can now stand on her toes to switch on the fan and pull the stuff off the dining table.
She recently started talking and picked a few words.
Ma
Mumma
Papa
Daaa di
didi
BHAAAYA
Bhai
br (bird)
caaa (car)
That is her current vocabulary. But papa is what she calls with such sweetness :-)
Most of the time otherwise she shouts.

Ofcourse there is a LOT more to write but thats for another time. Will be back with more :-)

The naughty little cutie that she is

Can now crawl with jet speed , loves to chase mumma around the house and we sometimes play run and catch game too. Tries to jump down her crib. Walk on the sides of the bed , her arms resting for support. Cries when she wants to sit , but doesnot dare to try. Does not dare to stand without support.

Believes that everything in this world is tastier than the food offered to her. Loves eating toys, garbage, pencils, erasers, paper, banana peel and her fingers. She basically eats everything except FOOD. She is a first grade fussy eater. When she doesnot want to eat , you just cannot give her a spoon full. She will stitch her mouth almost literally and yet keep smiling at you. As the spoon will go near her mouth, she will twitch her nose , like it smells :P. And if at all she wants to eat(very rare scenario) she will climb on you and snatch the stuff and tries to gobble it down with amazing swiftness. Needless to say this is the stuff thats not usually offered to her like maggi :P

Feels its mumma's duty to figure out when she is hungry and rarely demands milk or food.

Loves to bath and dip her hands in the bucket. Claps as soon as you make her sit on her bath bed. Doesnot love to dress up though.

Loves to dance to all kind of music. It may be a title track of some TV show , some movie song or my besoora singing. Shakes her legs , hands , wrists and lifts/ shakes her body ..not in complete cordination though.

Likes to be around her brother without even demanding any attention from him.  Adores him and enjoys his company. When Bhaiya is in mood and there is no Chota bheem on TV the two of them cuddle and giggle for long , else bhaiya will carry her to mumma / dadi saying "lo isse sambhalo". He understands that its his responsibility to take care of her when there is no adult around and gets stressed.

Says bye when ever asked , even when the person she has to say good bye is carrying her in his/her lap.

Demands 110% attention as soon as she sees mumma or papa after work, even though its for just 10 mins.

Enjoys throwing stuff around. Can stand up holding the table and pushes every single thing down. Loves to drag off the table mats or trays and does not care if that lands on her head or not. Claps after throwing any clothes or nappies that rest on her crib.Throws off any toy or other stuff thats on her walking track.

Loves to go out. Jumps all the way during outings. Loves dressing up only when its for an outing.

Gets tickled with slight touching and giggles and make you giggle.

Fill our home with smiles.

My Letter to you !

Dear Aryan,
You are 1.5 years old today...these 18 months were like a dream for us. A little life blossomed into a flower in our hands without our own realization. I can still remember how I was scared to hold you in my hands , for the fear of hurting your soft bones. And how I did not know , how to burp you when you used to cry. And how to hold you to bath.

Time has passed. And it seems like in friction of seconds you have grown upto a BIG Naughty boy.Its seems like some magic to see you achieve one milestone after another. Now that you have twelve little teeth , I cannot imagine how there was none one day.Now that you walk , I cannot imagine how we waited for you to turn , to roll , to sit and to crawl.

Your unconditional love has made our lives more beautiful.I cannot write in words , what I feel , when you sleep peacefully in my lap , when you hold my hand and place it on your cheek or forehead , when you suddenly give a peck on my cheek , when you shower me with loads of kisses and when you suddenly cuddle to me.
We never realized since when we started loving you. Probably much before you were born. But I cannot describe, how I feel when you are not too well and when you get up at midnight for the pain in your budding tooth. We share the responsibilty to shape up your life , which will form from the habits that you develop today. Each day , we have moments which make us feel satisfied and the ones which make us wonder , if we are doing all good.
But then , I think thats the part of this parenting game. I am out of words dear ...Just want to say ...Mumma Papa love you Beta.
Yours Mumma.
