Khushism

Its been long since I wrote a proper update on Khushi. I have not even done a proper birthday post for her. So let me see how much I can write in this post.

We celebrated her birthday in October and did a rainbow theme party at home with kids from the apartment. It was mostly Aryan's friends ,their younger siblings and a few mom. Dress code was rainbow colours. The party went well and kids had a blast. Khushi behaved like and angel and was not scared by the crowd. Which I think was a big achievement.

Post her birthday , we started her day care and her grandparents left. She pretty much adjusted in the day care without much fuss. Ofcourse she cries when I say bye to her but she smiles and cuddles with me when I pick her and blows kisses to the day care ladies. So more or less I think she is fine there.

She was naughty and is naughty :) She literally keeps us on our toes. I sincerely think every single day why I made so many drawers in my new house and how to keep the stuff now without using the drawers. She empties her UG drawer , she empties all kitchen pull outs , she has pulled out some crocery and thrown it twice, she has played with sanitary pads , she has painted herself brown with my lipstick , she has torn Aryan's books , she has done drawing on the walls. Ofcourse the fault is mine and not hers :-)

She is messy to the core. She loves playing with her poo and has had a million accidents , to the extent that once it was almost in her mouth , thankfully I noticed just in time.

She is a super fussy eater. If she doesnot want (which is mostly) you can not do anything to make her eat. This worries me all the time cause she is skiny. And no its not a motherly exxageration. I was never ever so worried for Aryan.

She started walking as soon as she completed 13 months. And that means she can now stand on her toes to switch on the fan and pull the stuff off the dining table.
She recently started talking and picked a few words.
Ma
Mumma
Papa
Daaa di
didi
BHAAAYA
Bhai
br (bird)
caaa (car)
That is her current vocabulary. But papa is what she calls with such sweetness :-)
Most of the time otherwise she shouts.

Ofcourse there is a LOT more to write but thats for another time. Will be back with more :-)

Aapki tabiyat kaise hai ??

"Abhi theek nahi hai :D :D"

Yeah thats the answer you will get when you ask him this question. Don't miss the grins at the end.

He has fever since the day school started and so he is not going to school. The fever is high when its there but the gap between the fever is about 10 hours or so. So in these 10 hours the kid is happy and active except when you offer him food. Or when you ask him , "aapki tabiyat kaise hai"

Since no fever means the end of extended vacation with no school and no daycare :)

These kids are too smart for parents :P

School Story - as it goes!

Day 1

Aryan is all prepared and ready for school. Doesnot know whats in store foe him. He is just excited about his new bag , tiffin and travelling in bus. I explain to him that bus will start only after 4 days , but in vain. We reach school and we were told that they will hold the kids for 1 hour and we have to wait outside and we can take them along after an hour. It was a surprise for us , we were initially told that they would allow us in class for 2 days and I told the same to Aryan. He cried like hell when when the teacher picked him up to take him inside. He has had no breakfast and he did not eat the snacks I packed also.

When we went to pick him in class after an hour he was having a balloon in his hands and was crying in a slow steady pitch. The teacher told he was okay , stop crying when we talk to him and again starts after sometime.

Later in the evening he told that he played with a yellow balloon in school.

Day 2

I fed him breakfast in car , he never has it at home , he is too excited to leave the house after we are ready :-P He goes fine till the school ,inside the school he sees a kid crying and starts rubbing his cheeks , trying to control his tears,(so sweet and cute) but they finally roll down and he cries as they take him inside. After an hour he comes out with his class in a queue. No smiles no tears.

Later during the day he told me that he had his banana and he played "clap slow clap fast" (dont ask me more about this) and with a balloon.

Day 3

Mondays are always bad.He cried badly as soon as I put him down. He clinged to my legs and I had to put a stone on my heart and rush back. After 2 hours when we picked him he was his usual self.

Day 4

He waved a bye without a smile and without looking into our eyes. Was usual when we picked him.

Day 5 - Another Important day.

They restricted the parents ouside the gate and took the kids inside from the gate. He cried as soon as he started walking in. His eyes searched for us while he walked in the premises.

Afternoon , he had to come back in bus. We went to school and were hiding to see how things proceed. He was crying badly as they take the kids to buses in queue. I could not stand his crying and scared look on his face and went and pacified. I was allowed in the bus on day 1 , though I thought I would see from distance only. But after he saw me I had to board the bus. I showed him his friends in the bus from the same day care. Made him friends with the maid. Told him how he should be sitting in the bus etc. He was happy and naughty in the bus. But cried again when I left him in day care.

Day 6

Morning was usual, little crying while walking in. Afternoon was better. He came in queue , was crying very little before he boarded the bus. He was fine once e found his friends in the bus. And nicely went to day care later , while we saw everything from distance.

Day 7

Morning crying has not ended still. Afternoon was perfect.

Random Incidents

Long since I wrote a nice nice post for Aryan. It has been so many times that I thought that he said or did something so blog worthy but by the time I would get time to write I would forget all. So here are a few random things I can recall , before its too late.

1. I have a metrosexual man in my house , who is a little too enthusiastic about his looks. Every day he massages his hands and face with all the cream he can grab and the process takes a good 30-45 minutes. And he blames the kids in his day care to grab the bottle of cream. So this is like it goes :

Aryan : Mumma , Kaata (pointing at his wrist, with the bottle of cream in his hand)
Mumma : Kisne ?
Aryan : Aadi or Rishab or Paati or Aunty or mosquito(Basically whatever comes to his mouth first)
Mumma : Thik hai , cream laga lo
Aryan happily starts massaging where ever he wants with handful of cream

2. Its not that he is just worried about his own looks. I mean who wants a old wrinkled mom, to show off to friends. So he takes care of his lazy and careless mom too. He gives mom a facial and a manicure. Plus thai masaage on her legs too :-) Okay ..don't just start feeling J ladies.
But I am not lying. After he is done with himself , he starts massaging mumma's face and hands. And almost every night he comes with powder to massage my legs :-)

3. He is being crazy about Aeroplanes and Helicopters and he can hear them sound from anywhere and spot them from anywhere even in night sky. And he expects us also to do the same and when are not able to , he cries :-P Whats more funny is , he asks the aeroplanes and helicopters and birds to take him into their lap. He goes like "aeloplane godi" , "chiya godi" , "helitopter godi". During our diwali trip when he actually saw aeroplanes at the airport he was too excited and amazed. But when he sat inside one , he could not understand that he is actually inside the plane and wanted to go to all the other ones he could see. I tried too hard to explain that you are already in the plane but no use :P

4. From past 3 days he is telling be aphabets , as in ABCD. I do not know if he got from older kids in creche or from the lady in the creche. Although its not always in sequence but you can hear him saying 5-10 alphabets at random , which I think is good since I never taught him any. So the other day he was sating "B for ..." I was not able to get what he was trying to say after for. So I used all my vocabulary from ball to bat to boy etc. Finally I realized that it was butterfly :-)
And P for "peacock" , when I don't know if he knows what a peacock is :-)

5. Last but not the least. From past 2 days , our little dad makes both my and Anupam sleep on both his arms and pats our head and you should see the affection on his face :-)

My little sweetheart ..LOVE YOU !
